Our Mission
The mission of the Dance Education Center is to foster a positive environment for the development of the individual with a core emphasis on dance/movement as an educational experience. Throughout the courses, in addition to dance technique, students will be exposed to goal-setting and journaling activities, anatomy, healthy lifestyle choices, proper alignment and posture, dance history, culturally diverse activities and creative-movement exercises.
Notable Facts
Since 2001, DEC has donated over $200,000 to local organizations including American Cancer Society, American Lung Association, Meals on Wheels, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys & Girls Club, The Red Cross, Central Wisconsin Children's Museum, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Children's Play House Theatre Group, Gilbert Brown Foundation
