About DEC
The mission of the Dance Education Center is to foster a positive environment for the development of the individual with a core emphasis on dance/movement as an educational experience. Throughout the courses, in addition to dance technique, students will be exposed to goal-setting and journaling activities, anatomy, healthy lifestyle choices, proper alignment and posture, dance history, culturally diverse activities and creative-movement exercises.
The DEC facility has been specifically created from the ground up to service dancers and their needs. The facility features three spacious studios, each with a sprung flooring system and Harlequin Marley covering. DEC also has three dressing rooms, a reception area, and a dance-apparel and shoe store.
